Often they can become colourless and stained with moss,weeds,lichen,efflorescence, and the dreaded oil stains! we can renew your driveway back to how it was first laid by blowing out the weeds, a high-pressure clean back to bare brick then re-sanding if required (this depends on how good the initial job was of laying the bricks) some are excellent, some are weak and loose.Driving heavy vehicles over block paving isn’t a good idea as the blocks shift around moving sand with it, this is where you see sunken parts and allows water to sit (causing silt and weeds)

You then have a choice of leaving it clean and re-cleaning it in a years time or you can have it sealed with either a matt,vinyl or gloss finish sealant. The re-sealing of a driveway can make all the difference in appearance on top of preventing  any further contaminates into the stone, it is UV, oil and water resistant meaning no more oil-stains and no more oxygen for the weeds to grow back into! We clean all types of stone, block paving, blockwork and tarmac. this service is normally around £600 for a medium driveway.

Tarmac is a long-lasting option for a driveway and especially good for vans or trucks but isn’t resistant to diesel/petrol or alcohol products like block paving or concrete is, both drives have their drawbacks but generally speaking Tarmac is the cheaper option to have installed which is why many choose to go that route, to maintain a tarmac driveway its best to have it re-sealed black every 4-5 years to keep its elasticity, if it’s beyond that point and is cracking its certainly not passed its use-by date and we can absolutely high-pressure clean, repair any cracks and re-seal the black top layer afterwards making it look brand new again. This can also be done to concrete driveways to gain a uniformal top layer. This service is normally around £400 for a medium driveway.

As you see from the pictures below it really makes sense to repair and re-seal your driveway but it can be rather more cost than just having it cleaned alone.
